Election of the Universal House of Justice

The Universal House of Justice was first elected on the first day of the Festival of Riḍvan in the one hundred and twentieth year of the Bahá’í Era,[21st of April 1963] when the members of the National Spiritual Assemblies, in accordance with the provisions of the Will and Testament of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, and in response to the summons of the Hands of the Cause of God, the Chief Stewards of Bahá’u’lláh’s embryonic World Commonwealth, brought into being this “crowning glory” of the administrative institutions of Bahá’u’lláh, the very “nucleus and forerunner” of His World Order. [From “The Constitution of the Universal House of Justice”]

The Ridván Festivities are approaching. These twelve days are very special and on each day of these twelve days, there will be a Ridván related post on this blog. I have found myself “forgetting” that Ridván is for twelve days. To remedy that, I prepared a series of materials, one for each day, to read during these twelve days. Perhaps I am not the only one. Therefore, on each day of Ridván, there will be a Ridván related post.
