Like many other friends, I have tried to study the 29th of December letter. In this process, it has been helpful to structure the content of the letter. However, I noticed that all letters explain extensively “the process of sustainable growth” where clusters are moving along a continuum of stages that are marked by milestones.

If you wish to get a better overview of this “process of sustainable growth”, perhaps the below study guides/aids will be of assistance. This post has one new study guide/aid and also references previously posted material on this topic.

  • A  listing the steps of the “process of sustainable growth” with references to key letters for further explanation and elaboration of each step from different perspectives. The elaborative references are from the 29th of December 2015 letter, the 28th of December 2010 letter, the Ridvan Message of 2010 and Insights from the frontiers of learning.   – Steps of Process of Sustainable Growth

29 December 2015

To the Conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors

Dearly loved Friends,

The Plan upon which the Bahá’í world embarked nearly five years ago is in its closing stages; the final tally of its accomplishments grows still, but will soon be sealed. The collective effort it inspired has called for wholehearted reliance on those powers with which a benevolent Lord has endowed His loved ones. Gathered with you at this moment of reflection, we are conscious of a determination among the friends to bring the current Plan to a fitting conclusion, and of an eagerness to advance further along the path that experience has marked out.

Not long ago, I finished the first unit of book 8. We had a little quiz as social activity to both rehearse what we had studied and to have some fun. So if you are doing or have done the first unit of book 8, you can conclude it with some fun.

The participants can be divided in two or more groups, and then each group chooses a question. If they answer the question correctly, they get the points. The tutor can perhaps keep track of the score and finally the members of the winning group could get a little symbolic prize.

Here is a screen shot of the main page of the categories and degrees of difficulty. You can download the power point presentation here (Book 8 Unit 1 Questions). Once a question has been chosen, it will change colour but remember, after each question, just click next and the answer comes. Then just use the bing triangle in the lower left corner of the slide to get back to the main page with all the categories.

Reading the 28th of December 2010 letter from the Universal House of Justice, one can see that in several places, it refers to the Institute Process in different ways. In some paragraphs it refers to the Institute Process as Educational Process and in other paragraphs it outlines in what way it is transformative. I thought it would be interesting to compile all the parts that refer to the Institute Process in one place. You can find the result of that effort here The Institute Process in 28th December Letter. I hope it can be of aid in your study of the letter.
